Desirable transitional specifications with a full width 'wide nut' and 'Patent No.' pickups. Classic vintage Gibson tonality and playability. The original 'Pat. No' pickups have a lovely airiness and openness. A highly lyrical and articulate instrument. A friendly mid-60s neck profile makes for exceptionally versatile playability. The profile sits nicely between the extremes of a '59 fat neck and '61 skinny taper. Some honest patina throughout, some mild finish-checking and playwear give the instrument that perfect vintage feel.

This vintage ES has seen some modifications with reliability and playability in mind. The well-worn original ABR-1 (included with sale) has been replaced with a nylon-saddled Tone-Pro's reproduction. The original Kluson machines have been replaced with modern reproductions, again, the originals are included in the sale for posterity. The instrument retains its original nylon nut and has seen an older professional re-fret. The original trapeze tailpiece has been removed from the instrument in favour of a professionally installed stop-tail, affording the instrument greater sustain, attack, and note articulation. The original Trapeze is included, again for posterity in the case. The instrument is missing its pickguard. Repaired headstock break. What a stunning guitar! This is one hell of a warm sounding square shoulder dreadnought from the early half of the 1960s. Classic cherry sunburst finish with a lovely patina adorns the entirety of the instrument. Waffleback tuners, slim / medium C neck profile, rosewood fingerboard with the split parralell block inlays. It has seen a pro refret, a cleet repair under the right upper bout of the pickguard as well as the three reglued braces. There is a depth to its tonality that is just harmonically divine. Theres some songs in it! Beautiful flame upon the maple back and sides. Spruce top has crazing in the nitro laquer. All the right places. What a fine example of a 60s Gibson acoustic..not to mention the intricatly designed pickguard of this model. Comes with a hardshell case.
