Produced by Kay in the early '60s as an affordable electric guitar, the Value Leader put a great sounding guitar in the hands of many aspiring musicians. Featuring a long chrome pickguard on the treble side of the body, the Value Leader was made in either one, two, or three pickup configurations.
This example dates from 1960, the first year of production, and boasts the ultra-cool 'Kelvinator' headstock plate. The Value Leader did not feature an adjustable truss rod, but this one has faired okay over the year and is still very playable. In completely original condition throughout and playing a treat!
