While it still delivers the award-winning sound of its predecessor, the sE Electronics Vintage Edition VR1 invokes the aesthetics of a mid-20th-century European ribbon mic. Based on some of the innovations sE created when they made the world-famous RNR1 ribbon mic, sE Electronics designed the VR1 to be an affordable, passive ribbon microphone.
The brainchild of sE Electronics' CEO Siwei Zou, the VR1 performs amazingly well across its 20Hz–18kHz frequency response. It can be used on an array of sound sources, and the Vintage Edition VR1 truly shines on acoustic instruments and guitar cabinets.
