Description

Played by literally a who's who of my favourite bass players..Mick Karn, Bill Wyman, and Alan Lancaster, this is a Travis Bean TB2000 bass. Yep, I know that these Travis Bean's are not exactly the cheapest bass that you can buy, but aside from being incredibly rare, they sound like nothing else, and are built to outlive everyone on the planet.

This one is number 873..and you'd be right in thinking by looking at the pictures, that this bass has had a life. Pick wear in many spots, as well as crazing through the finish. No crazy routs or mods, save for 3 holes in a line across the top near the pickups, I'm unsure why. Pots date to 1978 and the wiring is bone stock.

You'd be correct in thinking that this has had a refret somewhere down the line..it's a very good job. I'll stop short of saying that this bass plays itself..but it damn near does.

A truly important part of American guitar building history...that could, and should be yours.
