A genuine classic from the golden age of American guitar building, this Guild X-50 features a maple top/back/sides, mahogany neck, a single P90-style single coil pickup in the neck position, floating rosewood bridge, trapeze tailpiece, Brazilian rosewood fretboard with dot inlays, single volume and tone controls, pickguard, and a sunburst nitrocellulose finish. Condition is very good overall for the age with some playwear and wear to the finish (see photos), and some replaced parts. The bridge, tuners, tailpiece and pickguard are non-original to the guitar but are similar to what was originally fitted. Funtional condition is excellent and the pickup has a twangy, almost surfy brightness to it. Included in the sale is a modern Guild hard shell case.
