The textbook definition of player grade vintage, this 1964 L-Series Jaguar has the perfect balance of originality to modifications to make it an attainable Pre-CBS classic. Featuring the classic twin single coil pickup configuration, rhythm and lead circuits, patent number vibrato unit, unbound Brazilian rosewood fretboard, celluloid nitrate tortoiseshell pickguard, and Kluson single line tuners this guitar epitomises the classic Jaguar features. The guitar was refinished at some point in the early 1970s with nitrocellulose lacquer, the yellow pigment has faded and what was once a 3 tone sunburst is now a glorious redburst. Additionally, the guitar was rewired at the same time and has non-original pots and wiring, but the pickups are original to the guitar. The original bridge was removed and a Gibson-style ‘harmonica’ bridge was installed (likely at the same point as the refinish), surprisingly the behind the bridge string resonance has not suffered and the guitar has a punchy, bright attack,
