An extremely cool Martin D-18 from 1964! These models feature a beautiful brazillian rosewood fingerboard, bridge and headplate, rear-shifted bracing, and a tee-bar reinforced neck. In addition, this was the last year Martins were made using hot hide glue, as well as being the last year D-18s had celluloid binding, pickguards and long through bridge saddles. This particular example has recently had a complete overhaul, nessesary in bringing out a vintage acoustics best sound and optimum playability. This included a neck reset, re-fret, repair of typical minor side cracks, as well as a brand new bone nut and saddle. All work was conducted by master acoustic luthier Daniel Hoban. Overall this guitar not only sounds amazing, but plays equally good. A real gem just ready to be played and loved!
