Beautifully kept R4 1954 Les Paul Goldtop reissue from Gibson's Custom Shop. This 2004 model was built in a great period for these reissues and sports all the historic features one would expect.
From the stunning gold Nitrocellose finish, beautifully weighted Honduran Mahogany body and neck and angled 'Wrap Around' tailpiece this Custom Shop made instrument strongly evokes the magic of the fabled '54 Les Paul.
Other historic details include a vintage correct Holly headstock veneer, real Mother-of-Pearl inlay on the headstock logo and fretboard markers, long neck tennon joint, dual P-90 'Soapbar' pickups, gold flat topped 'Speed' knobs and a beautiful 50s neck!
This particular example has been beautifully preserved, with only a minor ding around the body bout on the rear (see pictured) and some minor internal cracking to one of the tone knobs. Functionally this Goldtop is perfect. Plays true up and down the neck, has plenty of play in the truss rod, no fret wear and clean electronics!
