The Gibson Eric Clapton Crossroads ES-335 is a super limited edition Custom Shop model (only 175 produced for sale in the USA, 74 for export markets - totalling 249 pieces in total). This particular guitar was an Australian export and likely to be one of the only examples in the country and built on the 26th of August 2005 - serial number 248.
This Custom Shop instrument painstakingly replicates the ES-335 originally purchased in 1964 by the musician. Clapton played this iconic instrument through the life of the Yardbirds and Cream.
Cosmetic details unique to this instrument include the serial number, "HARE KRISHNA" stamp on the rear of the headstock, stencilled hardshell case, and various aesthetic wear which replicates the patina of the original instrument.
The instrument is hand-signed by Eric Clapton on the F-hole label. An exceptional ES-335 in its own right and a sure-fire collectable which includes all certification documentation.
