A historically true ‘Parlor’ instrument with some handy modern updates!
Based on the classical ‘no-logo’ Lyon & Healy model, this unique instrument gets an authentic 1930s ‘parlor’ shape. It features a solid Spruce top for resonance and looks pretty swish with its ‘Stencil’ fret markers.
While most flattop guitars at the turn of the century were built with ladder bracing (this often dampened the tonality and negatively effected the volume), our instrument here features beautifully crafted ‘X’ bracing which takes modern string tension much better.
Bone nut and saddles also give the instrument a tonality far beyond what you’d expect for a sub $1000 instrument. It's perfect for guitar history buffs, recording engineers, front-porch blues players, and thanks to the smaller body size and shorter scale length, beginners who need a compact, easy to play, great-sounding instrument.
With true parlor size, vintage design, and modern upgrades, the Dirty 30's Parlor is the guitar for players with one foot in the past and the other in the present.
