c1938 Dobro Resonator (USA, Sunburst, HSC)

Description

Beautiful time piece from the late 1930s, circa 1938/1939 Regal made 14 fret Dobro resonator in a tasty tobacco sunburst. Typical of a Regal 12 fret instrument with a pinched waist and large bottom bout.  100 years under string tension meant this neck angle had gone south resulting in having to reshape/rebuild the dovetail join. This has seen a full reset, resaddle and restoration in house by Matt Forge and is now sounding and playing wonderfully back to fighting fit shape. One very chunky D neck which is comfortable in the hand. Made in the USA comes with a hardcase
