1964 Gibson ES-125T (USA, Sunburst)

SOLD!

Description

The gateway gat into the world of archtop guitars, the Gibson ES-125T is a slimline hollowbody electric featuring a maple body,  rosewood board, mahogany neck and a single dogear P-90 pickup that screams.
This model in particular was one of many iterations of the ES-125 model produced by Gibson through the mid nineteen sixties.
This has seen the addition of a tuneomatic bridge for better tuning stability and intonation.
The knobs have been replaced, the strap pin buttons are missing. There is a small hole on the heel where a strap pin has been added, and a small plug where a strap button was added near the top bout. The guitar has had Grovers on it at some point, conversion bushings have been added and the original tuners are now back in place.

At some point the guitar has had Grover tuners fitted, the original tuners are now back in place with the addition of conversion bushings.
The original tortoiseshell pickguard still intact.

The guitar has had a retret with Medium Jumbo frets, a little pitting near the second fret but nothing of any concern.

Lovely three tone sunburst.
 Made in USA serial 229850
