Description
Good, fast, cheap Silvertone 1448 from 1963.
Kennedy was still alive when this was built. Tab cola made it's debut and Jimmy Gilmer and the Fireballs? spent 5 weeks at the number 1 spot on the Billboard charts.
Yes, the guitar looks like a 1950s Diner table, yes, that is a Lipstick Tube that the pickup is housed in, and yes, it is small, light and also, made of masonite.
There is a bit of a bulge to the back, stable, aesthetically not the prettiest, but the guitar is priced accordingly. Still $1250 is not a ton of dosh to pay for a guitar with a built in Time Machine to take you back to 1963.
Made in the USA.
Knobs are replacements, originals not included.
