Description
Player grade '66 'Cobained' Mustang.
Phew, lets go...
Neck: Original '66 neck, new machineheads, some holes from other tuners in the past. Mucho wear and some checking on the back. Grover tuners fitted.
The Body: The body is refinished in Oly White, I have no idea what colour it was originally was..possibly Mission Brown Metallic, one of Fender's rarest colours, that was an Australia only colour....and if you believe that, you'll believe anything..Pickups are non original, some sort of Seymour Duncan in the bridge and some other sort of Mustangish pickup in the neck. Pickguard is replaced, and switches and pots. Neck plate replaced too.
Point is, it doesn't matter..What matters is, this is a 1960s Fender Mustang that plays so bloody good, and is only around $2300ish more than Dan Peters from Mudhoney paid for his Mustang back in Grunge BC..
Made in the USA, well most of it anyways.
Weight: 3.5kgs
"Everybody loves us Man, they give me the creeps
And you're up there shaking and flexing
Display of a macho freak
Now you've got their attention
And you've got so very far
They gave your very own spotlight
Just like some real rock star
Hey, hey, hey, hey Hey, hey, hey, hey Hey, hey, hey, hey It's so overblown" - Mudhoney, Overblown.
