Description
Japanese delivered 1979 Fender Deluxe Reverb.
Has been switched internally to run 240V.
Just serviced by Tim at the Tone Lab.
Has had the Electrolytic capacitors replaced at some point in it's life.
Death cap has been removed.
Fender Silverface gear was far too long a sleeper...still a handwired, USA made proposition..and even though this is at the end of the Silverface run, it sounds a damn treat, and of course, a Deluxe Reverb never ever goes out of style.
Still running the original Fender speaker.
'A key difference in this circuit is the pull gain boost switch. When pulled out this switch adds the reverb’s dry signal as an extra gain stage, and when pushed in, the circuit is a standard Silverface Deluxe Reverb. This extra gain stage is also foot-switchable.' Tim Occleshaw - The Tone Lab.
