Description
Theres just something about this period of Fender amplifiers ya know? This is a beautiful example from the early 1960s line up of 'brownface' combos. There is certainly a pleasurable aural quality and a particular "darkness", tonality and honk to the amplifiers of this period. Beautiful '62 Fender Princeton amp. Hard to find, low wattage amp in nice condition. Boy, I've always had a soft spot for these 'brownface' Princeton models. A '61 has been in my arsenal for a number of years now and these deliver much of that character. You're still looking at a handwired amp. The trem is to die for. The following modifications and or changes have been made to the amp: Speaker replaced a Kendrick 'Black Frame' (fair condition original included for posterity), speaker lead, power transformer (Hammond 240V) and 3 prong AUS plug, an internally added mini bias pot (handy), new rubber feet and all the electrolytic capacitors. Includes a road case. These are becoming few and far between on the Australian market. A great example. Serial number P04419, made in USA.
