Description
Freshly serviced. A fine example of the Bassmaster Flip Top, in very good condition. The transformers are the original A&R grain-oriented steel models (PT is type 2421 and OT is type 2757), and the choke is the original Rola TV301, dated 10 August 1966. All working perfectly. The speakers also appear to be original – red label (pre-Plessey) Rola 12UEG 15 ohm speakers, made in the Rola factory in Richmond, Victoria. They are in excellent condition, with a date stamp on the frame of 15 August 1966. The 12UEG is one of the most sought-after Rola guitar speakers, especially the pre- Plessey red label. The serial number of the amp also confirms the build year of 1966. The output valves are a NOS matched pair of Australian-made AWV Radiotron 6DQ6A valves. Bias and output checked with the replacement NOS valves – biased moderate-warm as per Radiotron specifications (and original factory circuit). Output measured at 45 watts RMS with minimal clipping (<5% THD), and 54 watts with volume on maximum.'
