Description
Built during Gretsch’s late 60s peak, the 6073 Monkees Bass is a short scale, hollowbody thumper with serious visual presence. Light, resonant and very much its own thing. Big, woody low end with a soft attack, plenty of bloom while sitting nicely in a mix without fighting everything else.
Brown stain finish, classic silhouette, and a feel that makes total sense once it’s on a strap. A proper period piece that also happens to be very usable. Probably the best headstock shape on a bass ever. Peter Tork did us proud. Includes the original hardcase
