Description

Yamaha SG3-12. From the decade of the 12 string electric, and also from a year that was particularly bumper in terms of great album releases.

Just like a '60s Mosrite, the serial number is right at the end of the fret board, there is really no denying the influence that company had on these '60s Yamaha electrics. However, they shouldn't just be looked at as Yamaha trying to do Mosrite, really these are just as cool a guitar, with something else going on.

If you are looking for that classic 1960s jangle, this sucker has this in spades...It's not a Rickenbacker 12, it's not a Fender 12, it's not a Vox 12, it has its own thing.

I have no idea how many Yamaha SG3 12's were made, but trust me, they are not something you come across every day. The one we have here is pretty much stock, save for the pickup switch which has just been replaced. Frets are in good nick , original machineheads are well and truly hanging in there.

Made in '67 before man went to the moon and things were still 'groovy' 'ya dig?.

Comes with original hard shell case.

#5152.
