Description
Stunning '75 Gibson Les Paul Custom.
Comes with the original serialised warranty papers tracing the original sale on the 28/10/1975 to the now closed but iconic Sam Ash Music in NYC. Price paid in 1975 $424 USD. Just think, if you'd been a gainfully employed adult in 1975 you could also have had it for just about a month's wages... though you'd also have to suffer the widespread adoption of bellbottoms. "Groovy" ✌️ ☮️
It is the rare 'Twentieth Anniversary' model with commerative inlay on 15th fret. Yes the Anny model spilled over into 1975.
Pots date to Jan '75 while a little stamp in the neck pickup dates to May 1975.
Very light example for the era at only 4.45kg.
Has had a headstock repair (done in house). It's a beautiful job and hard to see the break at all.
Relatively clean overall and still wearing its original frets, with life left. Replaced jack plate. Original pickups in place.
Very stoked to have this and its matching cousin from 1978 in stock at the moment...come and have a play of both and see which one you dig..neither will disappoint.
Made in the USA.

"Ever since I was a young boy
I played the silver ball
From Soho down to Brighton
I must have played them all
But I ain't seen nothin' like him
In any amusement hall
That deaf, dumb and blind kid
Sure plays a mean pinball" - The Who, Tommy.
