Description

When I'm locked in my room…dnah nah, dnah nah…I just want to scream' Moginie fans put your hands up.

Here it is, the very fab, 70s looking Gretsch Roc Jet. It's most certainly NOT a Duo Jet, how dare you!

This guitar was not made for Rockabilly cats, Beat Poets and especially not Jazz Musicians, though those who may play a Roc Jet may indeed partake in said Jazz Musicians cigarettes..

Yep, this guitar was made by Gretsch in Arkansas to play Rock, or Roc, if you like. 2 gnarly Supertron pickups, a 'natural' Walnut 'yeah man nature ya dig' finish, and a headstock that would never be lost in a crowd.

The one we have here is in great condition. Binding is fully intact, frets are in very good condition. It doesn't appear to have been messed with too much if it all not even an obligatory 'keep on truckin' sticker or even 'weed leaf' sticker anywhere in sight.

The case is the original Ess & Ess which was made for Gretsch in Brooklyn NY. Alongside the Gretsch plate on the outside of the case is a small plate from 'Ron Pearce Music' in South Australia.

Pots date to late '74 but the serial number dates this to 1976..A couple of moved screws on the bridge and one small hole near the tailpiece, for no apparent reason at all.

Shoot, I guess I am the wrong person to be writing this description, because I own a Roc Jet myself...what can I say, I love it, and you um may too?

Made in the USA #26070.
