Description
Calling all appreciators of mighty low end far and wide. Alive or deceased. Prince, Bootsy, Lynott..you name it. Bestowed upon the people by a wizard from a mountain top this bass is certainly unique and has had quite the journey since its humble beginnings in 1977. I wonder what colour it used to be eh? One thing we can tell you is that it had a mirror pickguard that was in pretty bad shape...anyhow...
Its clear that this is certainly one very well loved Fender Precision Bass. Featuring the classic Fender 70s aesthetic of a maple neck and fingerboard (which is just the right amount of chunky and rather comfortable in the hand might I add) The body has seen a refinish to quite a striking purple metallic. The original pickups have been replaced with EMG’s along with the pickguard to a newer tortoiseshell as well as the control knobs.
The bridge has also been replaced with a baddass for better intonation and tuning stability. All hardware has oxidised in line with age. The neck itself shows signs of play wear and yet the frets still have plenty of life left in them. Could this be the left of centre cool player grade vintage bass you’ve been looking for that doesnt break the bank? Come and find out before Morgan snaps it up. Comes with a hardcase. Made in USA serial S749444.
