Description
Tidy Gibson 'The Paul'. Yes, I have a massive soft spot for these..Natural finish, ugly, but beautiful bevels to the body.
Frets are low, flat, jumbo and sitting pretty in an Ebony fingerboard...and this was the way frets were back then.
The T Top pickups are punchy and were built specifially to drive a non master volume amp into complete submission whilst playing 'Barracuda' blisteringly loud.* This guitar sounds like every good rock and roll record from the 1970s..stinging, cutting, feel good..
This one has NO delam on the headstock, and a absolutely popping grain on the back of the body.
Neck has a tiny tiny bit of the skatepark to it..but the truss is working, and ultimately, it doesn't actually really affect the way it plays..If you are super fussy a refret would sort it.
It's not really heavy...I'd prefer to say, well balanced.
The 1970s Gibson Norlin era had a few models that were absolute gems...and this, is one of 'em.

"And if the real thing don't do the trick
You go and make up something quick
Gonna burn, burn, burn, burn, burn it to the wick
Ooh, Barracuda"
Heart - Barracuda.
*T Top pickups were not specifically built for this purpose as far as I know.
