Description
Very rare Artist series hollowbody from the golden era of Japanese Ibanez builds. Made in the FujiGen factory in 1978, this one features ornate hardware, a carved maple top, and a set of truly wild pickups that sit somewhere between a PAF and a filter’tron. Loud and snappy acoustically, with a dry mid-forward bark when plugged in. As a vintage Gibson snob, it pains me to say this thing sounds absolutely amazing.
The original pickguard has gassed off over time, tarnishing the gold hardware and causing corrosion around the pickup surrounds and switch washer. Everything still functions fine, and the guitar sounds absolutely killer. Some finish wear around the toggle switch area too.
