1979-1983 Ovation Magnum III Bass (USA, Charcoal, OHSC)
Woah! This bass certainly looks like its landed from outta space. Ovation are well renouned for the bowl back acoustic guitars but in the 70s and 80s they were certainly making some unique electric guitars and basses. The construction is superb. Ebony board is solid black. The frets are in great shape. The bass is in incredible shape for it's age. The electronics work perfectly without a hint of static or noise. Its damn outright cool as hell. The Magnum III Bass is version 3 of the rare electric bass sold from 1979 to 1983 from Ovation, which has a strong image of Adamas and other acoustic guitar brands. Mahogany body, mahogany/graphite neck, ebony fingerboard, 864mm long scale (super long scale strings are recommended due to the long endpin), and 2Vol/2Tone/3Way selector.
Its outta this world.
Made in the USA comes with the original brown hardcase.
