Golly gosh...when it rains it pours...and in our lap we find....yet another Gibson Custom Edition Les Paul Custom in Antique Ivory.
This one is in rougher shape than the other one we have in stock at the moment, wear through to the mahogany on the back of the neck, well repaired but visible headstock break, mucho wear on the body, scuffs etc.
The pickups in this are again the Tim Shaw patent number as stock (just like the other one we have) and not the Lawrence pickups..which is not a bad thing really...The Shaws have a little less output and are perhaps 'a little more PAF'
Frets are surprisingly in good condition and the nibs are present and correct. Strap pins have been replaced to Schaller locking type, and it looks as though the black speed knobs were replaced with gold...but shoot, you never know what those crafty workers at Gibson were up to.
Original brown case was separated from this guitar at some, but we found a cool as Protector 3 or Chainsaw case with a nasty brown interior which really compliments the Antique Ivory finish...plus, you can take those Chainsaw cases on planes or drop em from huge heights and the guitar is usually AOK.
Gibson badge is missing from the case.
The guitar is not stupidly heavy..but it is 4.7kgs, so not really for the faint hearted..
