Description

Rumour has it that Henry Juszkiewicz smashed a new Gibson soon after he bought the company and demanded that Gibson build better guitars.

You'd have to say, the late 80s and 90s was definitely a return to form for Gibson...though the Standard and Custom weren't exactly to vintage specifications they were damn fine playing and sounding guitars.

The one we have here has had a life, but I'm pleased to say that the previous owner didn't feel the need to 'upgrade' from the original HB-L and HB-R designed for Gibson by Bill Lawrence. They're great sounding things, high output, and as they were only in Les Pauls for around 3 years, kinda hard to find.

This guitar is definitely in played condition...some corrosion to the metal parts, little bit of missing wood at the headstock (please see pictures) Frets could definitely do with some attention soon, they are pitted. Nice to see one of these in played but original condition..Machineheads are stock, and still working but a little worse for wear.

Plugged in of course, it rips..and I have to mention too, having owned both an '89 and '90 Standard, this is the lightest one I have ever felt..weighing in at 4.4kgs..

A well played, but stock LP from early '90..in my humble opinion, this is a really good un.

Made in the USA..comes with the original hardshell case.
