Description

Very rare indeed Fujigen spot model prestige RG shredstick from Ibanez. Apparently less than 150 units ever made, at most 75 of each colour. Similar to the RG2550EX of the same year, but with Japan only appointments (pearloid binding, H-H config, limited galaxy finishes). Some absolute legend has removed the IBZ pickups and replaced them with and EMG 81-85 set, and also removed the completely-unnecessary-for-moshing tone knob and put the volume over there. It could be put back, if you wanted, but why would you? It's rowdy now.

Single piece maple neck (they'd moved to 3 and 5 piece mostly by this time) 24 jumbo nickel frets on a rosewood board with big MOP dots (the big that Ibanez don't do anymore) and pearloid binding. Galaxy Black finish (which they also don't do anymore) in surprisingly good condition. A little bit of chipping around the edges, but literally all of Ibanez's metal flake finishes from this time period do it. Edge Pro trem which has been given a sharpening and lubricating, set up low and slinky with a 9-46 set.

No case or bag with this one, and also missing its original strap pins, but this just means it's ready for a DiMarzio Cliplok strap of your choice to go right on there.

Made in Japan, Fujigen 2003. SNF0338171, weighs 3.70kg - gambatte ne!!
