Ssshhh..
I'm going to tell you a little secret.
This guitar handles like a Holden Gemini in a snowstorm..ah, actually it's not that bad..but some of these 1960s Japanese builds were not really known for their precise intonation and playability. In saying that, it never stopped Jon Spencer from teasing an incredible sound out of his old Zim-gar guitar.
Don't leave just yet, I'm about to get to the secret..and here goes..so, in this guitar are 2 of the most fantastic pickups you are ever likely to hear. These old Japanese goldfoils are something else, and trust me, you are not going to get the sound of this Guyatone out of anything else.
So, if you can put up with the snowstorm, the floating bridge, the wild, yet simplistic beauty of the shape (and headstock) you are going to have a win..
Ssshhh..
Don't tell anyone I told you.
