Description
Beautiful kinda rare Elk Deluxe with a 'Shrimp Tail' headstock.
There is a long story that goes with the Elk Guitar Co. that I shan't go into at this time. However, it's important to state that the owner of Elk (aside from being a rabid Johnny Cash) completely reverse engineered a '60s Fender Jaguar in order to create the Elk Deluxe. In my opinion, these guitars are quite likely the best copy of a vintage Fender Jaguar that you can purchase.
This one has seen some changes, a kill switch where the output jack would be, and the output jack has been moved to the side of the guitar. The pickguard is a replacement. The truss rod has seen its limit however if you enjoy running heavy strings you'll be fine. The guitar has also been refinished in a colour called none other than 'Love Red'.
It has the simple ELK stamp on the headstock.
Quite simply a lovely Jaguar clone, made in Japan in the 1960s.
Comes with non original hardshell case.
