Description

The very hard to find, and very cool late '60s Jansen Bassman 75.

These suckers were Garage Band du jour in New Zealand in the 1970s and 1980s..

The circuit is a close copy of the brownface 6GC, 6G6A and 6G6B Fender Bassman except the Jansen runs 7027 valves so has a higher output at around 76 watts.

This amp has had the main power supply electrolytic capacitors replaced at some point in its life..and the amp has just had a full service at 'The Tone Lab' by Tim Occleshaw and is good to go for another few decades.

You can of course use this amp for both Bass and Guitar, but whatever you throw into this amp sounds damn fine, warm, and definitely sounds like the era it came out in.

Currently running at 4ohms output , but can be modded to run 8 or 16.

Made in Auckland, New Zealand.

Serial #0530.
