Description
Only in production for a few years before declaring bankruptcy, Pleasant were a fleeting dream of Japanese manufacturing - a fiery star in the night sky, capturing our hearts before blinking into nothingness with only its own brilliance (and a lack of Western commercial interest) to blame. Made in the Shinko Gakki factory, these instruments ooze uncommon charm.
This c1960's Pleasant Electric (Japan, White, HSC) is no exception to the rule - two single coils provide that percussive bite we all love, reminiscent of legendary scratch rhythm players like Jimmy 'Chank' Nolen & Phelps 'Catfish' Collins of James Brown fame. Two volume knobs & master tone alongside indidual on/off switches for each pickup give you all the control you need, with a Bigsby-esque vibrato here for all your gospel & country moments.
Hard shell case included - come try it out!
