Description
A Matsumoku-built oddball from the golden age of Japanese catalogue guitars. The SG-12 sports a slab body, big brushed-metal guard, and a pair of slim single coils with that wiry, microphonic charm. Original “Victor” tailpiece intact, though the classic dog-and-gramophone badge has gone missing somewhere along the line.
Plays surprisingly well for its era, with a cool garage-ready voice that cuts through the mix. A quirky bit of Japanese guitar history that’s equal parts collectible and playable.
