Ok, I know what you are thinking… and yep, I was thinking it too..this is a reissue Yamaha Red Label....
If you were thinking that - you would be wrong. Someone has dropped a whole bakery's worth of dough refinishing a late '60s FG-180 with a satin black top, new bridge, pins, pickguard... ah the craziness. It has the subtle V neck, small inlays, and sounds damn fine. Why fully refinish a '60s Yamaha Red Label? Shoot I dunno..but if you are digging on an old Nippon Gakki, with no issues, this could be the thing for you.
Neck set is good, action is low. Made in Japan.
