Description
Delightful Fender Super Amp from 1963.
Obviously, at this price there have been a few changes, but important to remember, the bottom line is, damn this thing sounds good.
Running at around 40 watts, this is probably the greatest grab and go amp ever made. Breaks up at around 6 on the dial.
OK...
Here goes:
Date code is MK (1963)
Both back panels are replaced.
There has been a hole drilled in the rear chassis.
Original transforner is on board and there has been a multi tap board install so the amp can run at 230V
The choke is an English made Drake.
The output transformer is a Fender one from around 1974 and it is a Bassman transformer.
Power tube sockets have been replaced.
The rectifier is solid state.
All electrolytics have been changed.
All coupling/tone caps have been changed.
Most resistors have been changed...and the speaker lead has been changed.
Original speakers have been replaced with Webers
Cab is in great condition.
All in all, a great sounding 1960s Fender amp, at an affordable price that'll still be kicking when others in lying in landfill.
Made in the USA.
