Here’s one straight out of the weird-and-wonderful wing of the vintage department: a German-made c1963 Hofner Verythin in a deep, candy-red burst with enough lacquer checking to last a lifetime. It’s lightweight, vibey as hell, and has a neck you’ll want to keep coming back to.
This one’s had some mods over the years—pickups have been swapped out for a set of Allparts PAF-style units, tuners are 1960s Yamaha, and the pots are still original. Plays great, sounds gnarly, and wears every bit of its age like a badge of honour.
