Description
Phwoooarrr here's one very cool 1966 Epiphone 230TD Casino. Same year and spec as the iconic instrument used by your favourite Beatle. Folklore states that Mr Lennon stripped the finish of his sunburst Epiphone Casino after paisley popper Donovan, convinced him the instrument would 'breathe' better. I mean say what you will, but as a general rule of thumb, it stands to reason as a thick finish can act as an acoustic dampener. This guitar would too have once been a sunburst. Anywho, this instrument has been completely 'Lennonised' with no detail spared. Full set of historically accurate 'Lennon' modifications such as the period Grover tuners, shaved poker chip, a trapeze tailpiece and knobs. The original pickguard is also included with sale. The instrument is finished in a satin sealant which feels great. Comes with a non-original hardcase. Straight off the bat its immediately one very resonant guitar unplugged. That extra bit of scale length you get on these Epiphone models (when compared to the adjacent Gibson models of the era) make them completely unique. This thing feels great, sounds great and plays great.
Perfect for hotel bed-ins, rooftops and many other gig settings as thoust shall please.
Made in USA, serial number 105424, includes a hardcase.
