Description
Rock and roll grade Elk Galaxy.
Is this the greatest headstock ever to grace a guitar?
Lets face it, it has some stiff competition in a Gretsch White Falcon...but Antlers surely trump everything..
It's not really something worth giving too much thought to, 'the guitar with the greatest headstock' but if you find yourself with nothing to do one day, and you are staring out the window, whilst tapping your fingers on the table..then let me know what you think that is...info@echotone.com.au.
Anyways, back to the Elk Galaxy. Gretsch stylings, wide pickups that sound like...um...an Elk Galaxy.
It's dirty, mean and mighty unclean.
Beautifully set up, tailpiece has been replaced at some point with a 12 string one, one switch replaced. Neck is slightly in backbow, which means you can pretty much whack heavy strings on this sucker if you like..Truss is working. ...
Buy a (yawn) new hollowbody if you like reading Dan Brown, buy the Elk if you're happier reading Hunter S. Thompson..the choice is yours..buy the ticket, take the ride.
Made in Japan, under the guidance of a Johnny Cash impersonator, sometime around 1970, the Year Of The Dog.
Weight: 3.15kgs
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!” - Hunter S. Thompson
