Description
Flagship 'ES' style electric guitar from the early 1970s Gibson Norlin era. These walnut 355's have a real unique 1970s aesthetic to them. I dig. Something really neat about the (tarnished) bling of gold plated hardware and multi-ply binding contrasted against a deep walnut brown reminiscent of my yiayia's coffee table. Block inlays and mother of pearl headstock motif. 'Witchhat' control knobs. This old thing is all there, the only thing unoriginal to the instrument are the screws to the pickup surrounds that were replaced in house when the instrument had a service. Pickguard has gassed off and has been lost to the ages. Repro's available for those who desire one. This one is still running the original stereo 'Varitone' circuit, for those who prefer our in house tech's can convert this one to mono. Made in USA c1974. Serial number 986396. Includes the original hardcase.
