1970/1 Gibson SG Special (USA, Walnut)

SOLD!

Description

Cool model only made for a couple of years.

Has that skinny neck tapering to fat as you go further up that you either love or hate (I'm in the former category)  Paddle headtock, with no nasty headstock break...big as 70s volute on the back. People knock the Norlin years, but if you don't look at 'em as being 50s or 60s vintage correct, or even sound correct, that's the right lens to use. Unique in their own right.

This guitar is in pretty good condition for near 50 years on the planet, stop tail and bridge are replacements. Pickups are original and sound bloody good. Frets are fat and low, classic 70's fare, but plenty of life left. The neck has been off this instrument at some point in history but is now firmly in place.

Sure, you could buy a newer Gibbo with full sized hums...but why would you when you can have this little ripper...

Made in the USA, Serial number 968922.
