One for all the Elliott Smith fans out there. Badass early 70s Nippon Gakki Red Label Yamaha FG-180. The early FG series of guitars are seriously underrated and certainly very well loved by many songwriters and guitarists alike. Featuring a natural finish, mahogany back & sides and a spruce top, mahogany and rosewood fingerboard along with pearl dot inlays. They boast a warm sweet and full tonality similar to that of a martin dare I say. This guitar has clearly been well loved over the years and for good reason. Battle scars adorn the top from many years of loving use. There is some clouding to finish of the sides and back of the instrument present. The pickguard itself is de laminating from the top. The bridge saddle is low and action more on the high side but still rather playable. Would benefit from a neck reset..Pickguard is lifting..
