Description
Cool as f**k Fender 'Sonny' Model. Sonny, is of course Keith Richards famous '67 Telecaster.
These were factory stock kitted out with all the good stuff, just like Keith's...brass bridge and saddles, and that dirty, filthy, nasty humbucker in the neck position. The bridge pickup itself is an aftermarket replacement, that rips, and matches up nicely with the neck.
This is the first year of this model, and has an A serial on the neck plate..Was part of the 'Collectors series' in the Fender Japan lineup..
Nice feeling C neck, fairly weighty body but not too unruly..cracking looking Sunburst finish.
Frets are looking like they could do with a bit of a dress soonish as the frets are slightly pitted. It still plays great at the moment though I have to say. Priced accordingly, and should leave you enough in the tank to sort this in the future.
This guitar sounds like a dream in open G, as you'd expect..
