Description
1937 Gibson L-00. I am a massive fan of these guitars... and this one is mine...
Truly the perfect small-bodied acoustic in my opinion.
Punchy spruce / mahogany construction. Tall X braces. Those who know, know... They look the part too...
Double bound black ebony finish with a firestripe pickguard. Simple.
This example was an 'export' guitar as noted by the 'Made in USA' label glued on the inside of the soundhole.
Very old, rather large crack repair on treble side of the body.
Wonderful 'V' neck profile which has worn in beautifully. This one is ready to play... all the hard work has been done and is ready to enjoy. Pro neck reset and new nut by Daniel Hoban, Pro re-fret by Jon Shub. Bone bridge pins. Fitted with an aged pair of 'Golden Age' machined heads for absolute tuning stability.
Made in USA. Includes a 1970s Gibson hardcase with purple lining... I will regret selling this one. It took me many, many years to find an example I was happy with... after several years of ownership its time to release this one back into the wild...
