As rock got louder and guitar playing more technical through the late ’70s and ’80s, the electric guitar evolved with it. Hot-rodded Strats, locking tremolos, high-output pickups and increasingly purpose-built designs gave rise to the Superstrat and an entire generation of guitars built for speed. Our collection covers vintage and second-hand shred and modern electrics, from Ibanez, Jackson, Charvel and ESP to Japanese oddities, ’80s excess and more recent high-performance designs.
