Description
Bitchin second year Ibanez Paul Stanley Iceman.
Common 'online' consensus is that these only came out with an Ebony fingerboard in 1980...and yet, this one has a serial dating to '79 and definitely has an Ebony board.
Around 1500 Iceman, or Icemen if you will, were made in this initial short run of 3 ish years, before Paul Stanley changed allegiance, so this is not a guitar that you'll see bob up everyday.
Has seen some action and had some necessary binding repairs to keep it up and running. Binding has some cracking too..but the pickups, wiring and frets are all as they left the factory in '79 (probably late '79). Many scratches on the body. One ding on the back through to the wood.
I have a feeling that many of the parts on this guitar were made specifically for this guitar..which certainly adds a twist of cool to the whole thing.
An iconic shape, and an iconic signature model.
Made in Japan and comes with the original case too.
