Description
For centuries humankind has been plagued by the ultimate question - can Mayonnaise ever be an instrument? Well, here at Echo Tone we're proud to be able to answer definitively, once and for all: Yes.
Mayones are a Polish workshop producing some of the best guitars money can buy. Predictably, though, quite a lot of them are OTT burl top abalone monstrosities with 9 strings and fanned frets. For the rest of us who appreciate the subtle, there luckily exist models like this 2022 Aquilus 6 HSS.
25.4" scale roasted maple (TEW) bolt neck with two graphite rods, roasted (TEW) 3A birdseye maple board, luminlays on the side, and 24 Ferd Wagner stainless steel medium-jumbo frets. 4A flamed maple top on a Khaya Mahogany body, finished in Trans 2-Tone Sunburst, gloss top with satin back and sides. Also has a neat little flamed maple binding detail. Extremely comfy neck heel with a deep cut-away for unlimited access to the forbidden notes.
The 3-ply White Pearl guard is loaded with a set of Lollars - Imperial Low 6 in the bridge position, and two Strat Sixty-Four single coils with middle RWRP for hum cancelling.
Hardware wise we've got a GOTOH 510 Bridge with a big fat block, 510-MGT locking tuners, a Tusq nut, Schaller Straplocks. They're called Superstrats and this one certainly puts the super in big bold letters. Absolutely effortless playing guitar and very easy on the eyes. No burl, no worries.
Made in Poland, SN AQ2203190, weighs 3.5kg or something barely relevant. Comes in a tidy little "flight bag" with sturdy sides and a neck support.
