Description
Shaken but not stirred Gibson J-45 from 1954.
You'd be right in thinking, yes, this guitar has had a life! It's been right handed, left handed, and then back to right handed.
Couple of small repaired holes in the top near the bridge (perhaps a pickup? I'm unsure).
Small jack sized hole on the top bout.
The headstock has lost a bit of finish. Bridge has been swapped from right to left and back again. Much checking over the body and, well shoot, take a look at the pictures. Wear on both sides of the soundhole.
Obviously has had a refret at some point with vintage spec wire..and will be pretty ready for another one soonish.
Tuner buttons have been replaced.
This may well be the most mellow J-45 I have ever played..and has a lovely bottom end whilst still being incredibly balanced.
I doubt that you could ever recreate the sound of this guitar with a modern build...
