Description

The cutest and most soulful National Model 1133 Resophonic. You'd be hard pressed to match the sound that this thing puts out with any other guitar Made as a student model made by Valco for National. This guitar rolled off the line sometime in 1957..in a world of rock and roll, big cars, cheap gasoline and post world war II optimism. It sounds like a lot like a valve radio on the other side of a plasterboard wall...in a really good way. There ain't no more a bluesier a guitar ever made in my opinion. Weirdly, this is a full acoustic instrument, there are no electrics in this thing..Some cracking to the pearloid finish, and some spots of missing finish. Tuners have been replaced with a newer replacement (Kluson) as the originals had gone to god. It does not have the original case sadly, but will come with a brown vintage gig bag, that fits pretty damn good. It's old, it's cool, it's not something you are going to find everyday. Made in the USA in 1957. Serial number is X7894 "The blues is a feeling, you can't get it out of no book. You can't write the blues on a piece of paper, you just feel the blues." - John Lee Hooker
