Description
Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan, when Epiphone were first taken over by Gibson, this is a blue label circa 1958 Epiphone Triumph A-412.
A great sounding archtop, with a really beautiful build quality.
Lovely faded sunburst finish, walnut back and sides, solid carved spruce top.
This one has had some changes over the years, and a couple of very useable player mods.
Original machineheads have been replaced.
Non original tailpiece, looks to be a vintage ES-175 tailpiece, in place of the Frequensator tail.
A small repaired top crack on lower bout of left F hole.
Truss rod is sadly to its limit but, shoot, that neck is not going anywhere, probably hasn't moved in the last 50 years haha.
Lovely V shaped neck.
Has had a very nice Guyatone goldfoil pickup installed, and control plate with volume and tone.
Plugged in it sounds awesome, with a very unique tone.
Lovely thing, begging for a second life somewhere..
Made in the USA.
