1959 Gibson Les Paul Junior (USA, Cherry, HSC)

SOLD!

Description

A high-grade example of a '50s single-cut Junior—remarkably clean with rich cherry colour, minimal checking, and crisp edges throughout. The Brazilian rosewood board retains factory chatter marks from original sanding, speaking to how lightly this one’s been played over the decades.

All original aside from a MojoAxe wraparound for proper intonation with a plain G string, a bone nut, and period-correct repro Kluson tuners—tasteful, reversible upgrades that make this as stage-ready as it is collectible.

A single dogear P-90 in a slab of ’59 mahogany is all cut and character—sharp on the attack, thick through the mids, and just rough enough around the edges. Clean tones have a dry, vocal clarity; overdriven, it bites without losing focus. No tricks—just raw, honest tone.

An outstanding vintage Junior for players and collectors alike. These are getting tough to find, particularly in this condition.

Serial 934280 2 - factory stamped '2' denoting an instrument with a minor finish imperfection (undectable to any of us in the shop).

Made in the USA.

Includes Norlin-era Gibson case.
